Dr. Carmen Estrada-Schaye’s distinguished career spans more than 35 years in academia, philanthropy, and business. In Carmen’s current role as President and CEO of Historic Home Restorations, she is the guiding force of a unique company that restores historic homes throughout the United States to their original grandeur. 

A passionate believer in equality and education, Carmen has had a long career in academia and advocacy. She is a former Professor at California State University, where she taught seminars in Cultural Diversity and the American Experience. Carmen has helped many women get elected into political office through her position with the National Women’s Political Caucus, where she serves as the National Vice President. In September 2018, she organized the inaugural Women’s March in South Bay, Los Angeles. 

Carmen is currently President of Los Angeles’ Center Theater Group Affiliates. She is a former Chair of Mayor Tom Bradley’s Curriculum Committee for Workforce Los Angeles and a founding Shareholder of Proamerica Bank, which is the first Mexican-American owned bank in California. Carmen has also served on Wachovia Bank Business Advisory Board.
